Payment Assistance Options<\/h3>\n

Some customers may qualify for payment assistance with their water and\/or wastewater utility bills. Options are available.<\/p>\n

Your Utility Bill<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
\n

You will receive your bill in the mail for the previous month during the first week of each month. Bills are due the last business day of each month. Late fees are assessed before the next billing cycle.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a guide to important information on your bill:<\/p>\n

Account Number:<\/u><\/b><\/span>\u00a0This number should be included in any correspondence with the utility company and added to your check or money order.
\nAmount Due:<\/u><\/b><\/span>\u00a0This is the amount charged to all customers for sewer utility services.
\nPrevious Balance Due:<\/u><\/b><\/span>\u00a0The amount of unpaid previous charges as of the date of the current bill.
\nDue Date (\u201cTotal Due By\u201d date):<\/b><\/u><\/span>\u00a0The account is considered delinquent and may be subject to disconnection if outstanding amount due is not paid by the due date. A late fee will be assessed on any unpaid delinquent balance.<\/p>\n

If you leave your residence for an extended period of time and wish to avoid discontinuance of service, you may forward your mail or sign up for automatic payment.<\/p>\n

What We Maintain vs. What You Maintain \u2013 Water<\/h2>\n
\n

This is a general representation. Some layouts may differ.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \t\t\t \"\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n

Water Main:<\/strong> The large pipe, usually under the street or easement, that distributes water in company piping system, before the point of a Service Connection and Water Service Line.<\/p>\n

Service Connection:<\/strong> The point where the company connects a Service Lateral to the Water Main. This typically includes a Cutoff Valve and any fittings needed to make the connection. AKA the tap.<\/p>\n

Cutoff Valve (AKA Shutoff or Isolation Valve):<\/strong> There are typically two of these underground after the Water Main, one company owned (located before the meter), and another customer owned (located after the meter). The company owned Cutoff Valve before the Water Meter is used by utility crews to isolate the company Water Meter. The customer owned Cutoff Valve after the Water Meter allows the customer to turn off water for repairs and emergencies.<\/p>\n

Service Lateral:<\/strong> The portion of pipe running from the Water Main to the Water Meter, including a Cutoff Valve. This is installed by the company at customer expense and owned by the company.<\/p>\n

Meter Box:<\/strong> The housing that protects the Water Meter, usually located near the street or property line. It provides access to the water meter for reading and maintenance. This is installed by the company at customer expense and owned by the company.<\/p>\n

Water Meter:<\/strong> A device that tracks your water usage for billing. This is installed by the company at customer expense and owned by the company.<\/p>\n

Customer Service Pipe:<\/strong> The pipe that runs from the customer structure to the Water Main. Customers are responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing this line and all fittings and valves thereof.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\t\t\t <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\r\n
