Enhanced Visual and Hearing Products
As the population ages there is a growing need for both visual and hearing enhanced telecommunication equipment. We have seen a growing product mix of products that combine both into a single instrument.
There are manufacturers like Ameriphone and Walker that make special devices such as TDDs (TDD=Teletype Device for the Deaf), loud ringers, sound enhancers, and the like. But even mainstream manufacturers like Panasonic and AT&T; are making some products with advanced features such as big buttons, volume-control handsets, and louder ringers. Walker even makes a phone which has a trademarked feature called "Clarity," which adjusts both the volume and the pitch to make calls clearer to those who have tone deafness.
Many products are available, including cordless as well as corded phones. Our special-needs products have had great reviews from our extensive customer base -- both in our retail store and on the web.
